The Speech and Language Clinic of the Technological Educational Institute of Patras provides free of charge assessment, evaluation and treatment services to children and adults with speech, hearing, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

The therapeutical sessions are being conducted by the students of the Department in the Speech and Language Clinic, in special education schools, institutions and hospitals under the constant guidance and supervision of certified Speech Therapists and Speech and Language Pathologists. The sessions are also evaluated via sound-recording and video-recording systems. Files are always kept for follow, ups aiming at best possible results.

The permanent faculty in Speech Pathology and Audiology is responsible for the general supervision of the clinical framework. The Speech and Language Clinic offers consulting to both parents and caretakers of the patients with the aforementioned disorders. It covers the region of Southwest Greece with patients traveling from a distance up to 100 kms. The preventive diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders of preschoolers, school- age children and adults becomes effective through the collaboration of the Department with teachers, doctors and scientists from other disciplines.

The Speech and Language Clinic cooperates with the Laboratory of the Department for the evaluation and treatment of speech and voice problems through biofeedback systems.
It operates throughout the academic year following the program of classes.
