The state-of-the-art 4-year curriculum of studies is designed to offer a background academic preparation in the areas of Linguistics, Medicine and Psychology with subsequent preparation in the core fields of speech disorders, language disorders, hearing impairment, and application of new technologies in the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders. Students have to complete a core set of required courses, additional coursework as electives and are expected to engage in 900 hours of supervised clinical practicum in hospitals, schools of special education, institutions and at the Speech and Language Clinic of the Technological Educational Institute of Patras. The clinical practicum is supervised by certified Speech Language Pathologists/Therapists, permanent and adjunct faculty of the Department. |
