The state-of-the-art 4-year curriculum of studies is designed to offer a background academic preparation in the areas of Linguistics, Medicine and Psychology, followed by courses in the core fields of speech disorders, language disorders, hearing impairment, and application of new technologies in the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders. After completing a core set of required courses, students are expected to engage in 900 hours of supervised clinical practicum in hospitals, schools of special education, institutions and at the Speech and Language Clinic of the Technological Educational Institute of Patras. Clinical practicum is supervised by certified Speech Language Pathologists/Therapists, permanent and adjunct faculty of the Department. |
